Booking & Reservation Policies

Ron and I want your stay to be relaxing and fun.  So, to ensure that you will have a pleasant experience at Sky View Inn, we have established the following policies (remember, we seek to keep things simple.)

Reservation Policies

The Inn does not accept walk-in guests.  Bookings within 24 hours of stay must be made by phone, otherwise we encourage you to request your reservations on-line.

A 50% deposit will be charged to your credit card at the time of making your reservation.  The balance will be charged to your card the day of your arrival. 

All reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card, regardless of how the final payment will be made.  We accept, MC, Visa, and AMEX credit cards.  We do not accept personal checks.

Check in/Check Out

We are flexible with check in and check out if both are within the parameters of your reservation period.  The Inn will be ready for occupancy by 10:00 am the day of arrival; however, check out should be no later than 5:00 pm on the last day of reservation to allow time for the preparation for guests arriving the following day.

Minimum/Maximum Stay

The minimum stay period is one day, and the maximum is seven days.

Cancellation Policy

Due to the demand for the Inn, short cancellations affect our ability to serve other guests.  We have an eight-day cancellation policy.  If the cancellation is less than 8 days, you will be responsible for 50% of each of those nights not rebooked.  If you cancel within 24 hours, a $30.00 processing fee will be applied. 

Owner’s Rights

Sky View Inn is privately owned and operated.  Owners reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.  We will not be responsible for guest accidents or injury, or for the loss of money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind.

Any damages, stolen items, or broken items occurring during the stay will be the full financial responsibility of the guest, including anyone traveling with the guest.  Any special clean-up resulting in damages caused by the guests will be charged to the credit card.  Charges may need to be applied after guest departure as deemed necessary by the Owner/Innkeeper. 

Alcoholic Beverages

Sky View Inn does not hold a license to resell alcoholic beverages.  Guests may bring their own, but for the safety and comfort of all, please drink responsibly.  There are several establishments to purchase alcohol locally.  Sky View Inn will not be held responsible for any incidents.

Meals

We do not provide any meals for you. The Inn is equipped with a fully furnished kitchen so you will have everything you need to prepare and store all your food items.

Smoking and Candle Burning

Since Sky View Inn is in the middle of a forest. For the safety and comfort of all concerned, we do not allow smoking, fireworks, or incense/candle burning in any of the Inn’s rooms.  Guests smoking in the house or on the grounds will be charged a minimum $200 fee to return any room to non-smoking status. 

A fire-pit and barbecue are provided for guest use following the fire safety recommendations provided the first day of guest stay. 

Guests, Children and Pets at the Inn

We cater to the comfort, privacy, and security of our registered guests.  Guest visitors are only permitted on the property prior to the Owner/Innkeeper’s approval.  Non-registered guests are not allowed overnight accommodations without registering and paying as would a registered guest.

Sky View Inn is regarded as a quiet escape for our guests so children should be respectful of their surroundings.  Children under the age of 8 should always be accompanied by an adult because there are areas on the property that might be considered dangerous should they fall.

Dogs are the only pet allowed at the Inn. A special room downstairs has been designated for their stay and they can roam freely in the downstairs portion of the Inn.  Dogs should be house trained and are not allowed upstairs in the carpeted area of the Inn.  The Owner/Innkeepers have three fur babies of their own on site.

Shortened Stays

If a one-week reservation is shortened, the rate reverts to the appropriate nightly rate.

Other Policies

Cleaning Service:  You will find the Inn clean when you arrive, and it will be cleaned again when you depart.  Extra cleanings are available for a fee.

Owner Accessibility:  Owner/Innkeepers may enter the Inn during the day or early evening when there is a concern for the Inn and at any time when there is an emergency. 

Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of occupants to Sky View Inn is 5. 

Keys: A door key will be issued to the registered guest upon arrival and collected upon departure.  A charge of $50 will be accessed for any missing key. 

Entertainment/Communications:  Dish TV services are available as well as internet/Wi-Fi.  There is no landline telephone service available.

Parking: Parking is limited to two guest vehicles.

Guest Bedroom Accessibility:  There are four bedrooms upstairs and one-bedroom downstairs for guests who are not able to climb the stairs.  It is recommended that all guests utilize the stairway lights and railings when going up and down the stairs.

Fireplace Use:  The fireplace/stove can be used for heat or aesthetics.  Instructions for its use are posted on the kitchen bulletin board.

Furniture/Fixtures:  Guests are asked not to move, remove, or change furniture, pictures, wall hangings or other room décor without the consent of the Owner/Innkeeper.
